get crafty
I saw a beautiful wreath off of ourbestbites.. So cute huh? I decided I needed it!
Now look at my adorable wreath! I love how the rolled burlap flowers turned out. It was super easy and I look how chic it is! I am probably going to make a couple more as Christmas gifts for friends.

for the little man
Don't these just look so yummy. Well sorry but you can't eat them. They are crayons! My supplies were just a 64 count of crayons and a small candy mold. I melted the crayons and poured them into the mold. It was that easy. I am putting this is Skyler's stocking. I want to find a car candy mold and do a crayon box full of them for him! Crafty. Easy. Cute. and Cheap.

simple elagance
Last week I went over to my friend Carmen's house for a girls night...a much needed girls night! I saw a tutorial for this adorable Tree and KNEW I had to make them! What better time to make them than a girls night? We had Pamela (Carmen's sister) and their mom join us too! Let me just tell you these trees turned out so dang cute. I just can't stop looking at mine. They do take awhile to make, though. It ended up being a "two night girls night". Overall, I think they were really fun and simple. Go over to Shanty2Chic to see how to make them too! We also decided we are going to be trying to do a girls night every six weeks. Email me if you want to come play with us!

Changing things up
Dear blog friends,
I am trying something new with this blog. I am going to now post all of the great deals I find out or here about, post all the adorable projects I see and want to make, and post all the fun projects I do get around to making, with the addition of a family post here and there. Hope y'all like the change. I think it will help me to blog more than once every two months :)
Now here is my first project post...
Look at how stinking cute the pumpkins are. I need to make them!
Go check out the full tutorial at Tattered and Inked.

Dear Utah,
I most admit I kinda miss you. Charlotte has a lot of trees and those trees hide everything, which is beautiful but not when your trying to find stores. In Utah the grid system makes sense and I am absolutely lost with out it. Literally. Without the mountains I have no clue which way is West or East. I have done more U-turns this past week than double what I had done before. I miss my Utah friends. I don't know anyone here yet. I'm a little lonely. I never considered Utah my home but now that I have left I am home sick. In time I know I will love Charlotte, get my bearings, and will get to know people around me. Until then I will be making lots of U-turn.
Love,
Kay
P.S. Please keep this on the down low ;)

the perfect hue
Yes, thats right people we are moving in 4 days! Making our long 3 day drive, 10 hours a day trip this Tuesday the 7th!!! I am getting so nervous. The adventures that will come are completely unknown.. and that's scary and exciting... mostly exciting with some scary mixed in.
Ok. Sorry. My nerves had a little outburst. Back to what I was saying about paint... I picked our colors. They're amazing.
Sunroom: Caribbean Green 500D-7 Behr
-same color as my already purchased pillows
Livingroom (accent wall): Corn Husk Green 400D-4 Behr
-Picture I found on the web using this green.
Kitchen: Flaming Torch UL120-10 Behr
If you could marry dinnerware I would marry this dinnerware. I love you. You will be in my home soon.

and the countdown begins
Here is the layout to our apartment
We want to paint the wall in the living room that is on the side of the master bath green and the walls in the sun room teal. We want a sand color couch and a black coffee table.
Here is the pillows we will have on the couch. We already bought them! Our first living room purchase!
This is the exact color we want to paint the sun room too!
Here is the painting we are getting. We love that it has all the colors we want in the house and how it ties it into one piece. We are going to pull out the green in here to color the accent wall green. It will hang on the same wall as the kitchen.
Here is a picture of the type of table we would like. Our table will be sitting right below the painting above.

Gulp
I am loving Clint's facebook status...
"Yesterday, I walked into 7-Eleven with Sky. Usually, Sky and I share a Big Gulp (Yes, I'm one of THOSE parents, I know). However, when we got to the machine, he pulled out a Gulp cup himself and gave me his big, pleading eyes as if to say, "Please, Dad. I'm ready for my own cup!" Needless to say, he got his first Gu...lp. As we walked out together, Gulps in hand, I had one of my most cherished moments with my son."

Wednesday Clint took me to my first Jazz game! Sam watched Skyler so it was an official date with my man. It was so fun! We had such a blast. We were center court row 13... AMAZING SEATS! I wish the Jazz had won of course. Jazz 86 Suns 100. It wasn't a close game where you are hanging on to the edge of your seats but maybe next time. Here are the photos of the night. I am excited to scrapbook them.
